.Music Monday.

In honor of our 1st 'anni' yesterday, I just had to play our wedding song.
And it just so happens that he also happens to be my absolute most favorite artist. Ever. Period.
And this song still happens to stop me dead in my tracks.
Ryan Adams
"When the Stars go Blue"

lyrics:
dancin' where the stars go blue
dancin' where the evening fell
dancin' in your wooden shoes
in a wedding gown

dancin' out on 7th street
dancin' through the underground
dancin' little marionette
are you happy now?

where do you go when you're lonely?
where do you go when you're blue?
where do you go when you're lonely?
i'll follow you
when the stars go blue

laughing with your pretty mouth
laughing with your broken eyes
laughing with your lover's tongue
in a lullabye

where do you go when you're lonely?
where do you go when you're blue?
where do you go when you're lonely?
i'll follow you
when the stars go blue

.Happy One Year My Love.

"Sexiness wears thin after a while and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh everyday, ah, now that's a real treat." Joanne Newman

To the Man I married one year ago today:
You still make my heart go pitter-patter. You still make my cheeks hurt from laughing way too much. You are clever and talented, and you make me proud every single day. You push yourself in everything you do, and that's super sexy. You remind me why I believe in the sanctity of marriage and all that it means. You make me feel beautiful. You still know how to swoop me off my feet with one of those killer smiles {you know the one...when your dimples peek out...I'm a goner}. And you can still surprise me, which is not an easy feat. You don't let me get away with much {and we both know I always try} but it keeps me on my toes and I love you for that. You have incredible dance moves, and I sometimes practice them when I am alone. I think you are pretty darn swell. You are the happiest piece of my life.
and i love you undoubtably.
happy anniversary sweetheart.
Just a couple of photos taken from the best day of our lives, July 24th, 2010.
Ohh how i love this guy.

.Blog vs. Vlog.

Blog: n.
Short for weblog. A meandering, blatantly uninteresting online diary that gives the author the illusion that people are interested in their stupid, pathetic life. Consists of such riveting entries as "homework sucks" and "I slept until noon today." c/o Urban Dictionary.
Vlog:

A video log. A journalistic video documentation on the web of a person's life, thoughts, opinions, and interests. Sometimes boring, sometimes entertaining. You can always laugh at the person's facial expressions or mannerisms. Usually found on youtube. c/o Urban Dictionary
Now that we have that settled, you may have noticed that I am seriously loving the YouTube videos lately. I mean, I get to ramble on and on excessively about whatever it is I'm feeling that day. Much like this blog of mine, but in video form. You get to hear my rasp and stutters is all it's glorious forms! Lucky you! ha.
But seriously, I'm not sure what I'm enjoying more: The blogging or the vlogging. So I have decided that I am going to do both. And you can watch if you'd like {and I'd very much like you too} or not, it's your choice.
But I'm having some fun, and that's what this is all about.
Happy Pappy!?! {seinfeld reference...}
So, if you'd like, you can check out my YouTube channel {yes, I have taken over husbands you tube account, but does that really surprise you?!} and chuckle yourself silly. Even if you don't find my information or jokes funny, I'm sure you will find my amateur videos amusing. Even my mother laughs at me. And I'm okay with that.
And here's a little sample of a youtube video that I made the other day.
A MAC Haul.

I thought what-the-hay, in theme with my make-up essentials post earlier, I figured I'd film a video vlog on my new MAC purchases. Why? Because they are soooo freaking awesome!
FYI: It's called a 'haul' in the youtube world, and it's pretty popular. And I just jumped on the band wagon. Deal with it.

.My Bag of Tricks: Make-up Edition.

I'm just going to start off by saying that this is sort of a weird post for me as I'm a little out of my comfort zone here. I really have no {as in zero, zip, nada} formal training on this topic, but as a few of you have asked, I've decided that I may as well share my daily regime.
So, in case you haven't figured it out yet, I am going to share {in a few installments} my tried-and-true favorites for hair, make-up, and general beauty products. These are things that I use on a daily basis, and can't live without. Now, as I mentioned above, I am, by no means a beauty expert, but I do certainly have a few things that work for me, and I always love to try out the newest products {if only husband really knew how much my face, hair, and skin costs.....}.
I thought I would start with my favorite out of the three: Make-up.
Make-up is a fun one for me. Trends are constantly changing {new shadows, blushes, or lipsticks} so you never get bored, and I can always lose hours wandering around the cosmetics section of stores. You should see my mess of a make-up drawer that is now spilling out onto my counter. My wonderful hubby even bought me a lovely vanity last Christmas so that I can have my very own place to, as he so put it, "Paint your face".
{pictures of the vanity will be coming soon...working on getting the thing organized first}
Now, I usually don't go for the outwardly wild and daring look, but sometimes, I do play a little. I will show you the products I use for my 2 go-to looks {day & night} and hopefully give you a helpful opinion on them.

.Hip Hoppity Hiding.

This little brat thought she would cash in on some free rent!!
But isn't she cute? She's so small and tiny.
Let me explain before everyone thinks I lost my marbles and got a rabbit for a pet {although that is a pretty cute idea....hmmm.....}. So, I was pulling some weeds from my garden/flower border in my backyard last night, and this is who I found. She was snuggled up in between my yellow and red yarrow plants, and looks pretty darn cozy. She barely blinked up at me. With her little attitude, and floppy ears.
I think it's a girl. And I named her Pinecone.
Husband says I have to scare her away because she will eat my plants and poop in my flowers. He also said they bang like, well, rabbits and that I can't keep her.
Even after I used my honey pretty please face, he still said no. And that he is now going to put up a wire fence so that Miss Pinecone can't cash in on that free rent anymore.
Poor Pinecone's going to have to find new roommates.
