.what's in baby t's diaper bag.

The other day, I posted a baby update and featured our newest addition to baby t's [or rather momma's] wardrobe: Our new Diaper bag. It's really such a gorgeous piece and after receiving a few requests, I've decided to give you a little glimpse on what's inside.

First of all, I knew that I wanted a diaper bag that would be stylish and functional. I mean you carry this thing around with you everywhere! I also knew that I didn't want to spend big bucks on a bag that I couldn't use as a purse or day-bag long after baby t has outgrown actually needing a diaper bag.
A classic shape, great color, and quality materials gives me the confidence to know that this bag will be with me for many years to come, and it even appears that each scratch it receives makes if look even better! I think we have ourselves a winner my friends.
I also want to point out that this beautiful bag [thank you mama + tata T!] is crammed full of all the baby necessities that I could think of and then some. I guess I tend to swing more along the motto of 'better safe than sorry', and I am happy to report that it all fits!
Here are some of the actual items** that I already have crammed into my diaper bag.
bag | diaper cream | blankets [my favorite brand!] | fuzzibuns fitted cloth diapers [we have these ones although we may just use disposables while out and about for ease] | pacifiers | small glass bottle | natural diapers wipes [frangrance free] | cute baby socks | adorable cuddly stuffed animal | comfy cozy pants [and a bunch of onesies, not shown] | baby book [just in time for halloween!] | modern burp cloths
** As well as a few other things that I will be toting around but didn't make this board: Robot Change pad, Wood Toy Beads, Snacks [for momma!] and Hand Sanitizer [pocket sized].

So friends, I'm curious...what's in your diaper bag? Did I miss anything?

  1. I hope you have a really serious conversation with the baby immediately after birth about how there are to be no bodily fluids whatsoever on mommy's expensive Fossil bag.

I'm not a parent but I remember my mom always had an extra one of her shirts thrown in the bottom of my brother's bag in case she got slimed.

    1. Oh, that conversation has already happened....in my belly or not!

And that is a great idea on the extra shirts! Who needs poo stains on them while toting such a cute bag right?

  2. You are seriously so set. I carry a lot of those things in my bag. we still tote around one of those aden & anais bags (at least in the car or stroller) they are so multi purpose!

Another handy thing I use is one of those fancy plastic bag dispensers people usually use to pick up dog poo. It's nice to have if you're at someone's house and need to dispose of a disgusting diaper - it's a nice courtesy especially for those without kids (your mom friends will just tell you to leave it on the floor! ha!). I got mine from dollarama. Yep, for a dollar. Also good for random disgusting stuff that might need to be contained - just wait till you experience "pooplosions". You want to keep that pretty bag looking pretty ;)

    1. Awesome idea! I knew my fellow momma's would have some good tips, and I think I even have a bunch of those "doggie" bags lying around from old bella [our past pup]. Really, really thoughtful idea [although a little terrified about these pooplosions you speak about! gulp!]

      thanks lady.

  3. Good call on the spare pacifier. We didn't figure that one out until we forgot one at home one day, and got to enjoy a screamfest. I usually keep a large ziplock bag in my diaper bag, because diaper blowouts often get all over the clothes, and I don't want the soiled clothes touching anything else in there!

Must-haves in our diaper bag (besides all the excellent things you listed above) are: Nuby ring or Sophie the Giraffe or some type of "chew" toy, nursing cover (if that's something you use), small facecloth if you have a boy (I have a boy, and for at least the first six months, he'd pee all over during diaper changes if we didn't put that over his privates), and Kleenex face and hand wipes. It's a small package that easily fits into a side pocket, and comes in handy for food spills on baby (and mom). I usually keep a set of pajamas in there too, in case we're away later than planned. Then I can just put him from the car seat into the crib.

    1. Such good suggestions! I didn't even think about a small facecloth! Brilliant! And I have now just added my nursing cover and sophie {which seems a highly recommended MUST}. I also love the idea of pj's as I can totally see those coming in handy!

      Thanks for the tips!!
