i can almost guarantee that you will need each of these items for your summer wardrobe. of course, my guarantee can't be backed by anything other than my own opinion, but seriously these will be staples in my wardrobe this summer and i don't think you could go wrong with having them in your closet too.
i already own a few of the items above and will probably be featuring them in countless upcoming 'style posts' and 'ways to wear' features, so go now, click on the link and purchase. you will be happy that you did ;)
here's my rundown.
one piece underwire bathing suit || i am dying over all the one-peices coming out lately! so many cute prints and i adore the structured underwire styles, which are great for both a smaller or larger chested woman! also great to hide a little extra chub that you may be carrying after having a little baby ;). mark my words friends, the one piece is having a comeback moment!
white skinny jeans || if you are going to buy one thing for summer, make sure its a pair of white jeans. they pair well with everything, are flattering in a slim-fitting skinny jean, lovely light coloured for summer but warm enough for some cool nights. i personally own this style and love them.
melanie auld teardrop stunner statement necklace [on sale!] || yes, statement necklaces are still having their day. however, i see them trending towards smaller and softer shapes for summer. melanie auld is by far one of my fav jewelry designers, but the quality of her pieces stand the test of time so i dont' mind spending a little more for a classic piece. this necklace is high on my want list and would be absolutely perfect to layer with just about anything. would look awesome over a thin summer sweater and especially with that chambray sleeveless shirt above! also, anything in this soft mint hue is a win for me!
chambray sleeveless shirt || the classic chambray shirt just went on summer vacation! that's what i think of when i see this awesome version without sleeves. if you don't have a chambray shirt in your wardrobe, i seriously have no idea what you are waiting for! they aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and are the perfect neutral for any outfit. it seriously pairs with just about everything! i am loving the lighter shades as of late, but am still rocking my darker versions too.
tan leather boardwalk sandal || not too much to say about these one. the classic flat, dark tan, leather sandal. has been around forever and comfy as hell. a perfect casual shoe to go with everything from jean shorts, to sundresses, to maxi's. you need these.
tory burch tunic [another favorite tunic here!] || i seem to be heavily gravitating towards tunics in bright colours or cool patterns as of late. the linens are perfect for summer [so airy!], and the shape is great with jean shorts or cute capri's. a great pair of tailored shorts would look awesome with this top as well! and bonus, wear it to the beach and you have yourself a bathing suit cover up as well!
jcrew panama hat || kind of the older, cooler cousin of the fedora. this hat has been popping up on blogs and fashion sites for the last few months like kernels on a hot stove [how's that for two wicked analogies in two short sentences! ha!]. i own a cheaper version of this hat, that i bought a couple years ago by sheer coincidence, but am thinking of upgrading to this awesome version very soon. their is just something so beachy, but also dressy casual about this hat that i can't stop thinking about it. perfect mix.
floral shorts [on sale!] || ah, florals. the unofficial look of spring/summer if you ask me. so many great options are showing up all over the place, but i seem to really gravitate towards any shorts in this pattern. they seem to just add that little bit of 'extra' needed. you can throw on a casual tank, or a dressy blouse and you're all set to go! two completely different looks, but both so awesome. they also work equally well with heels or flats.

you're right I need those sandals (and necklace). I'm not sure if I can rock the white skinnies however - unless there are extra long tunics involved ;) happy shopping! xo
